General Notes: Born at 37 Arthur Street, St Helens, Lancashire, but spent her formative years in Seaham a village near Sunderland. Daughter of a miner. Noted events in her life were: • Cremation, Unknown, Hawkenbury Crematorium. Mary married Henry Percy Alfred Ranger, son of George Ranger and Mary Ann Harris, on 6 Jul 1935 in Frant Church Frant Sussex. (Henry Percy Alfred Ranger was born on 13 Jul 1914 in Dodhurst Farm, Pembury, Kent and died on 23 Jan 1999 in Pembury Hospital, Pembury, Kent.) Marriage Notes: At St Albans Church Frant on Saturday Mr Henry Ranger son of Mr and Mrs George Ranger of High Woods Pembury was married to Miss Molly Marsh daughter of Mr and Mrs Marsh of Sunderland. The ceremony being performed by the Rev. Dudgeon with Mr. Sidney Ranger (brother of the bridegroom) as best man. The bride who was given away by her mother wore blue crepe-de-chine with halo hat and carried a shower bouquet of red carnations. She was attended by three bridesmaids. Miss Margaret Burnett and miss Jenny Graham were in blue dresses of art silk with hats to match and carried bouquets of pink carnations. The younger maid Miss Peggy Ranger wore a blue satin dress with head-dress of gold leaves and carried of bouquet of flowers. |
